DHTML Animation in Dreamweaver 3.0

Home > Build > Software > Dreamweaver

by Don Herion

(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7)

20) In the 'Drag Layers' Palette choose the 'x1' layer, 'Unconstrained' for Movement and click 'Get Current Position.' This sets the initial location for the 'Drop Target.' Set a 'Snap' of 10. What this does is set the location for your X image when you press the reset link that will be added later. Click OK.

The Drag Layer gives you the power to move layers on a web page

21) Now drag the 'x1' layer onto Channel 6 in the timeline. Shift the end keyframe to 30. Although the location of the 'x1' layer is the same for keyframe 1 and 30 I found that I still had to set keyframe 30 again. Basically I copied the 'L' and 'T' settings for keyframe 1 and pasted them into keyframe 30.

22) Now follow the same procedure for four more Xs. You will not need more than 5 Xs and 5 Os for the game, depending on who starts.

23) After you complete the Xs create five Os, using the same method. Your timeline should look like this.
