Dreamweaver
3.0 has a cool new command allowing Web designers to build photo albums of their
favorite supermodels in a matter of minutes. This will save hours of drudge work
staring at countless images of Cindy Margolis, Laetitia Casta, Angie Everhart,
Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, Rebecca Romijn ..... ahh, where was I? Oh yeah.
The great thing about this new feature is it creates complete albums with thumbnails
that link to enlarged versions of the images. It would be great if the 'Create
Web Photo Album' command could also build lists of say, mp3 files. But for now
it is limited to image files.
Step 1:
First create
a folder for all your images you want in your PhotoAlbum. These images must be
in one of the following formats: .psd, .gif, .jpg, .tif or .png.
Step
2:
Now start Dreamweaver. Open a new file. Go - Commands - Create Web
Photo Album. This opens the 'Create Web Photo Album' window.

Step
3
Creating an album is a straightforward proposition. Just fill in the
various text fields. First, choose the 'image folder' and 'destination folder.'
Then, select the 'thumbnail size,' the number of 'columns,' the formats for the
'thumbnails' and 'photos', 'scaling' and whether or not you want to have a navigation
page for each photo.
Step 4
After you've completed filling in the info,
click - OK. Dreamweaver will then create your Web Photo Album. This album will
include the initial contact sheet page(s) with the links to the pages for the
full size image. When you create an album, Fireworks will actually convert all
album images to Web safe formats and create the thumbnail images for you. This
allows you to build albums using .psd and .tif images.
Step
5
You might still have to edit the font headings for each page if you
don't want to accept the default settings.

Sorry about the supermodels tease. Would you have kept reading this if you knew
it was going to be a photo album of cats?
