Here
is the timeline for the project with one Quicktime file imported. Remember you
can not preview .mov files within your project using the Control - Test Movie
command. If you drag the end keyframe of your animation past the .mov file's last
frame you will create a blank window with an 'X' through it.

I can now select my 'Introduction' symbol button and add a simple mouse
over action. When the button is clicked the playhead jumps to 'Frame 76' and my
first Quicktime movie plays. I also added a 'Stop' action at the end of the Quicktime
movie so the playhead stops. I can also add vector-based text and graphics movie
on top of this Quicktime animation. In my case, I bragged about my island creation
technology.
Step 6
To test the project you must
export the file as a Quicktime .mov. You have a number of options:
Dimensions:
You can set a new movie size or match the movie
Alpha: Controls the
transparency of the Flash track in the movie independent of any alpha settings
in the Flash movie. You have 3 options: Alpha (makes Flash track transparent),
Copy (makes Flash track opaque), or Auto (makes Flash track transparent if it
is on top of other tracks or opaque if it is on the bottom and/or only track in
the movie).
Layer: Controls the stacking order of the Flash track with
the other tracks in the movie. The options are Top, Bottom and Auto.
Streaming
Sound: Enables you to use Quicktime audio settings.
Controller:
Options to set the type of Quicktime controller used to play the movie - None,
Standard and Quicktime VR (virtual reality) are your options.
Playback:
Options on how Quicktime plays a movie. Options are, Loop, Paused at Start, and
Play Every Frame.
Flatten: This checkbox combines Flash content and
imported Quicktime files into a single Quicktime movie. Not selecting this option
makes Quicktime refer to the imported Quicktime files externally. The advantage
of this option is you can replace external Quicktime movies easier than going
into the original Flash project as long as the basic parameters are the same,
such as movie dimensions.
