Using Live Motion to Beat Tiger Woods
Part 1

by Don Herion

(1) (2) (3) (4) (5)

Wanting to give Hole 1 a slicker look I decided to add a texture to my fairway. I created one in Photoshop. It's a simple two-tone green pattern saved as a .gif file.

To assign the texture I select the fairway object and then go - File - Place as Texture. I then placed my hole against a black background and added a red frame.

The last part of my design is adding some basic yardage markers, a title a cart path and a small bridge. I base these on the info in the yardage guide. As you can see the resulting timeline structure is quite long.

There are too many objects in this time line

The best way to streamline this structure is to group objects. For example the three water hazards were grouped (Ctrl -G) into one. Once the three objects have been grouped - press ENTER - and name it - 'Water Hazards'. I then grouped the other objects. Here is my new timeline.

Group objects to reduce timeline clutter

Now if you wish you could group all the groups into one large group - Hole 1 Ruffled Feathers. By clicking the arrow marker to the left of the name you will expand the group hierarchy.

Here is the final design for Hole 1:
