At
this point I return to 'Standard' mode and invert the mask (Shift-Ctrl-I). I then
drag the masked image of the woman onto the 'Maxims' image. As you can see there
are still areas where the yellow background is visible. Mostly around the hair.
Hair is also not opaque it allows light to shine through, especially with the
hair strands.

Using several Photoshop
tools I can fine tune my top layer (the woman) so it merges into the background
as if they belong together.
Erase Tool
The erase
tool is the best tool to remove unwanted the yellow tinge around the body. Zoom
in close and use your scrolling bars to carefully erase those unsightly pixels.
When you reach the hair area reduce your opacity settings (try 25%) and set your
eraser size to around 3 pixels. Now run strokes with the flow of the hair, several
times on the edge and maybe once over the hair strands themselves. By doing this
you allow some of the background image to come through the hair. Continue to reduce
the opacity level for the ends of the strands so they are almost transparent.
