Lynne Schlumpf's
first experience with a computer was in 1987, with the Commodore 64 and Prodigy
Online and with an old Zenith 286 with Microsoft Windows 1.0. She was hooked.
She went on to run her own computer bulletin board system while in the Air Force
and going to college at night. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in MIS, she
went out into the civilian workforce working as a certified network engineer first
in Novell, then in Microsoft networks. In 1992, the Internet hit Oklahoma, and
she could not stay away from it. She spent 8 years researching ways to make money
on the Internet while working as a computer consultant during the day. She went
on to run a successful ecommerce store called Route 66 Cyber Cafe, selling computers
and computer parts. The results of this success and the research became the book
"The Little Website That Could", released November 21, 2000. Her articles can
be seen all over the Internet, translated into many languages, and her influence
on Internet marketers is worldwide. She is a disabled American Veteran and still
consults with corporations concerning Microsoft networks, and she lives with her
husband Daniel J. Solodon, Jr in Tulsa, OK.
They're
an Itchy Bunch of People

overall. A story from the e-commerce trenches.
